My 90 day countdown. My fitness goal. My bet… The attempt to convert my body… It has begun.
This morning I kicked off P90X. I decided I am going to try out the “lean” version first. See how I feel and see how I change. Apparently, “lean” is commonly used by women as they prefer cardio to muscle strengthening and they prefer leaning out to bulking up… Or so the video indicated. And if that is what “lean” will do, then I am in, as that is what I want. I want to remind my body what it is like to use my muscles. I want to work off the remaining baby weight. I want to build my muscle-tone and get back in shape.
This morning started it all and I will say 1 thing, starting off and only having completed 1 day, this is going to rock if I rock it. I was sweating by the end of the warm-up, tired 20 minutes in and prepared to get sick by the end of the first DVD. I attribute most of that to the fact that I have not worked out in a year. However, this video kicked my tush. It made me work and it made me feel muscles engage that I didn’t even remember I had. I so look forward to getting through the struggle of getting used to a new program and seeing my strength increase as I progress.
Now it is time to find my inner strength, not give up on myself and complete the mission. Complete the goal of winning the bet, but more than that, getting fit and finding my strength again.
