Work… It’s where I flex my brain, where I earn my paycheck & where I eat most of my food. There is a wooden box that sits in a central location within the office. It is filled, refilled and again filled with candy, cookies, sweets and treats. Today, there was a movie candy dump that occurred. Some kind soul decided their New Year’s Resolutions mattered more than the candy they were gifted and stocked with. Therefore the box was filled. Filled with love. I opened the box of Snow Caps and enjoyed a handful. My oh my… What a little sweet treat. What a delicious handful of goodness. One handful turned to two and then my resolutions entered my mind and my indulgence ended. However, the take away from this… Snow Caps are incredible. Delicious. Yummy. I am going to create a cupcake that can be topped with frosting and a generous portion of snow caps… It just makes sense.
Another random thought… I read blogs, I check in on all my friends blogs, on all the blogs I’ve found through friends, through my own stumblings, blogs that feed my soul… GoldFish Kiss is a blog written by a previous work peer. Her writings and ramblings are inspiring and her body is killer. She is a beautiful beach bum and a healthy inspiration. Over there on her blog she wrote about the positive impact of Coconut Oil, with a link to Dr. Oz’s explanations too… The idea that coconut oil can 1. resist bacteria and viruses, 2. positively support thyroid functions and blood sugar control, 3. help improve cholesterol ratios, 4. help weight control and abdominal fat, 5. prevent aging, 6. support heart health & 7. moisturize skin and hair. I was sold. 2 tablespoons a day. A word to the wise, the texture is quite a lot like Crisco Oil, have a beverage that cleanses your palette quickly (I chose OJ as the flavor quickly distracts my taste buds from the Crisco-esq experience). But, WOW… I am sold. I’ll keep you posted on the depths by which I dive into Coconut Oil… Cooking, washing my face, moisturizing my hair… the options are endless.
Continued musings… I have set a resolution to be more healthful, more conscious of my emotional and physical being. It is no secret that I love food and I do not discriminate against food. Anything and everything can make it into my tummy, I am willing to try and explore. However, in being more health conscious, it is time I make an effort to be more healthy and I create a healthier environment for the Doodle. Starting this week more vitamins have entered the house. And in an effort to ensure Ave gets all that she needs kiddo multi vitamins have been restocked. To ensure that a personal resolution to get Doodle on a sleep schedule that promotes peace, love and independence, I will stop at no end. Essential oils that promote relaxation. Good ol’ Lavender Oil added to her bath time routine. It’s something, it may be an old wives tale, it may be the magic answer. I am on board to try anything that create routine and have a positive impact spiritually, physically and emotionally.
Random musings complete for now…
