Helen Mirren… I want to be just like her when I grow up…

We went to the movies this weekend to see “Now You See Me” and during the preview portion “Red 2” appeared on screen. It hit me, like a ton of bricks, when I am older I want to be just like Helen Mirren. This is not the first time I’ve have had this revelation and I can only assume it won’t be the last.

I looked and the Mr and I told him that I wanted to be just like Helen when I grew up. I want to look as beautiful as she does at her age. I wanted to have her style and grace. Her accent wouldn’t hurt either.

There is just something about Dame Helen Mirren that inspires me and makes me happy. I love her in every movie I have seen her in. I think her style, at her age, is spot on and timeless. I think that she carries herself with unapologetic confidence. And her beauty seems effortless. When I am 67 years old I can only hope that I am as beautiful and charming.

Who do you want to grow up to be?

Tangent complete.

Helen Mirren rocks it. I mean, she seriously she does. That body? That elegance and grace?

When I grow up I want to be Tina Fey.
