Yep, I said it. I just want to sweat!
I fell off the fitness bandwagon for a healthy three months. You, know, October through December. The months when candy and food and desserts and wine and yummies all barrel into your life consistently and persistently beg to be consumed. Yep, during those months I did just that, I consumed.
But, like every health minded human being on the planet, no, scratch that… Like every single human being on the planet, in the month of January, I am ready to get my healthy on.
And in all reality, I am beyond prepared to make the sweat last well beyond week one and week two of twenty-sixteen. I am prepared to sweat it out to the oldies and jump on the new workout program I invested in in December.
I am ready to sweat. I have been working out in the final weeks of twenty-fifteen, practicing the new program, ahem, Hammer & Chisel, in preparation for the launch of my healthy new year. I am so very excited to see what results may come from these sweat sessions.
There is something about sweating. Something so very motivating, maybe it’s the endorphins, maybe it’s the energy, maybe it’s the stress relief, maybe it’s the time I carve out and make for just me… I don’t know, but there is something about it.
I have learned that I crave my sweat session and I thrive when I allow myself that time with myself, to push my body to its limits, to see and feel the progress of consistency, to gain the energy of movement.
It’s time… I just want to sweat!
