A Day of Accomplishment

Saturday – 6.28.08:

A Day of Accomplishment – today my mom and I met at 10:30 to head to the cake tasting (unfortunately T had to work and was unable to attend). We arrived at exactly 11 and we were done at 11:15. Throughout the course of wedding planning I have vowed to not get lost in the details, but rather make decisions by instinct. So far, so good. Today was much of the same – three flavors of cake, two icing flavors, three designs and all the Cupcakes were determined. I am not certain there is any way to make cupcakes look as magical and beautiful as a tiered cake, but we’d rather have cupcakes as cupcakes are US. What has been decided looks beautiful in my mind and I am certain will taste delicious. After our amazingly quick trip to the cake maker, we headed to the invitation store. There we finalized the envelope calligraphy and stopped to grab lunch. After a few more wedding errands we both headed home. Dinner was a delicious meal of Mac & Cheese and then T and I cleaned…

All and all, quite an accomplished day. More checked off the list and a tidy house. What more could a girl ask for? Not much, that’s for sure.
